• In 1912-1917 both artists studied at the Stroganov Art School, V.E. Yegorov and P.V. Kuznetsov’s workshops.
• In 1917 – military engineering courses.
• In 1918-1920 – State Free Art Workshops in Moscow.
• In 1921-1924 – members of the Institute of Art Culture (INKhUK) and organizers of “Constructivists”-a laboratory of constructivism.

Members of the following Associations:

• 1919-1923 - “Society of Young Artists” (OBMOKhU);
• 1923-1925 – “Left Front of Art”(LEF);
• 1924 – “Constructivists”.

In 1930-1933 were teaching at the All-Union Architectural and Construction Institute.

Beginning from 1915 worked at theatres and made scenaries and sculptures for more than ten theatre stagings in Moscow.

Exhibitions:

• 1920-1921 – “Society of Young Artists” (OBMOKhU), 1^st and 2^nd exhibitions;
• 1922 – The First Russian Art Exhibition (Berlin, Van Diemen Gallery);
• 1924 – The First Debatable Exhibition of Active Revolutionary Art Associations (Moscow);
• 1925 – International Exhibition of Decorative Art (Paris – Gold Medal);
• 1926 – The Second Exhibition of Film Posters (Moscow);
• 1927 – Exhibition of Soviet Art (Tokyo)

and other exhibitions.
