ZELENSKY ALEXANDR NIKOLAYEVICH Astrakhan’, 1882 – Yoshkar-Ola, 1942
Studied at the Stroganov Art School since 1901. Was awarded the title “Master- Drawer” in 1904. Lived in Leningrad till 1929, then in Moscow. Participated in exhibitions since 1926. Worked on advertising tobacco posters till 1917. 1922-1929 – the chief artist of LENTABTREST. Zelensky A.N. is the author of political, advertising and film posters. The artist’s posters were exhibited at the International Book Exhibition in Florence in 1922. |
